SSPI brings new analysis “EUGS: Beginning of a new era for EU security?”
SSPI released a new analysis. This time we focus on a Global Strategy for Foreign and Security Policy of the European Union entitled “A common vision, a common approach: stronger Europe”, which was adopted in June 2016 in the context of the changed security situation.
Silvia Madarászová in her text “EUGS: Beginning of a new era for EU security?” focuses on the process of EUGS adaptation, describes the strengths and weaknesses of the document and compares it with the first EU Security Strategy. Among other things, the analysis also addressed the question of creating a common European army. Debates about European army are now gaining momentum and this issue also resonated well in advance of the European Council summit in Bratislava.
